When the Starrys make their way to Colorado, new challenges arise.
Quiet and gentle Katrina Starry is happy to make her new home in the Colorado territory, away from the judgmental eyes of her old life. Alongside her loving husband, Andrew, they establish Liberty Ranch, a place for families caring for adopted and touched children.
But when Katrina finds three broken young girls on her property, her marriage and parenting is put to the test. She’s always wanted children but never conceived, and these girls feel like an answer to prayer. Andrew isn’t so sure, though, and their once peaceful relationship begins to crumble.
In the meantime, wild Jesse Starry starts courting Izzy Donavan, a local midwife and a woman with haunting shadows in her eyes. As Izzy assists with Liberty Ranch, the secrets of her tarnished past begin to affect her relationship with Jesse. Can Jesse, a wild mountain man, help Izzy with the hidden wounds now surfacing and be the Godly man she needs? And can Izzy allow God to mend her so that she will be open to love?
